WHO WE AREThe Texas Camino Real District Export Council (TCRDEC) is a non-profit, private-sector advisory group whose mission is to grow Texas’ economy by boosting U.S. exports. Appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce, TCRDEC members are a diverse volunteer group of International Trade Professionals from across Central and South Texas.
The TCRDEC serves 80 counties in Central and South Texas. Originally a branch of the North Texas DEC in 1994, it became a standalone DEC in 1999. The name of the DEC, Camino Real, is derived from one of the original trading trails across Texas, as this DEC promotes export trade as a mechanism for business growth. They are export trade ambassadors for Texas. |
